Plummer for a Special Permit - SP-92-78 <br /> A Petition was filed by Philip F. Plummer of Mashpee, Massachusetts <br /> for a Special Permit under Sections 174-25.D. 1 and 174-25.E. I. of the <br /> Zoning By-laws for permission to operate a retail business and to lease <br /> office space in a C-2 zoning district on property located at 11 Cape <br /> Drive (Map 55, Block 19) Mashpee, Massachusetts. (Owner of record: <br /> Cape Cod : Bank and Trust Co.) <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, <br /> on October 9 and October 16, 1992, a copy of which is attached hereto <br /> and made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall <br /> on Wednesday, October 28, 1992 at 7:30 P.M. at which time ,the following <br /> members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: <br /> John J. Friel, Edward M. Govoni and Arnold D. Mindick. <br /> Philip F. Plummer informed the Board that he planned to operate <br /> a book store and to lease office space in a building which was formerly <br /> used for real estate offices. He had received sign approval from the <br /> Design Review Committee and the building had been approved for both <br /> uses by the Building Inspector. No opposition vas received from abutters. <br /> The Board of Appeals made the following findings: <br /> 1. the use is in harmony with the general purpose and intent of <br /> the zoning by-laws <br /> 2. the use complies with the provisions set forth within the by-laws. <br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Appeals voted <br /> unanimously on October 28, 1992 to grant, the Special Permit. . <br />
