MA 02649 <br /> '4 <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> DECISION <br /> FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT <br /> RE: Mellco and D. A. Scannel Well Drilling Inc. SP-91-48 <br /> A Petition was filed by Mellco and D. A. Scannel Well Drilling Inc. <br /> J for a,:Special Permit under Sections 174-25.G.4, 174-25.G.9 and <br /> 174-25.H.6 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to store boats and <br /> well-drilling equipment and operate a repair business in an I-1 <br /> zoning district on property located at 31 Bowdoin Road (Map 54, <br /> Block 9) Mashpee, MA. (Owner of record: Wayne R. Tavares TR) . <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, <br /> on August 9 and August 16, 1991, a copy of which is attached hereto <br /> and made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town <br /> Hall on Wednesday, August 28, 1991 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the <br /> following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting <br /> throughout: William J. Hanrahan, Michael A. Makunas and Edward M. Govoni. <br /> Wayne Tavares represented the applicants and informed the Board <br /> that the subject lot already has a permit for boat storage and the <br /> current application is for the continuation of business on the site <br /> with the storage of well-drilling equipment and facilities for repairs <br /> within a building. Elias McQuaid, Health Agent, stated that the <br /> applicants will be meeting with the Board of Health. <br /> The Board found that the use is in harmony with the general <br /> purpose and intent of the zoning by-laws and complies with the <br /> provisions set forth therein. <br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded the Board of Appeals voted <br /> unanimously on August 28, 1991 to grant the Special Permit as <br /> requested, with the condition that the Applicants conform to all of <br /> the Board of Health requirements. <br />
