SP-91-48 A Petition was filed by Mellco and D. A. Scannel Well Drilling Inc. J for a,:Special Permit under Sections 174-25.G.4, 174-25.G.9 and 174-25.H.6 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to store boats and well-drilling equipment and operate a repair business in an I-1 zoning district on property located at 31 Bowdoin Road (Map 54, Block 9) Mashpee, MA. (Owner of record: Wayne R. Tavares TR) . Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on August 9 and August 16, 1991, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on Wednesday, August 28, 1991 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: William J. Hanrahan, Michael A. Makunas and Edward M. Govoni. Wayne Tavares represented the applicants and informed the Board that the subject lot already has a permit for boat storage and the current application is for the continuation of business on the site with the storage of well-drilling equipment and facilities for repairs within a building. Elias McQuaid, Health Agent, stated that the applicants will be meeting with the Board of Health. The Board found that the use is in harmony with the general purpose and intent of the zoning by-laws and complies with the provisions set forth therein. Upon motion duly made and seconded the Board of Appeals voted unanimously on August 28, 1991 to grant the Special Permit as requested, with the condition that the Applicants conform to all of the Board of Health requirements.
