Explanation: The Department of Revenue now requires the Town to vote a yearly budget based on estimated expenditures from the fund for the next fiscal year. Submitted by the Department of Public Works Explanation: This article authorizes use of funds which will be 100% reimbursed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The budget approved each fiscal year by the Legislature and Governor establishes the total funding available for Chapter 90 local transportation aid for that year. These funds are then apportioned to the 351 Massachusetts towns and cities. The funding authorized by this article is the maximum anticipated Town's share of the FY22 Chapter 90 program.
