The Board will discuss
this at the next meeting.
A letter from Town Counsel to Louise regarding a discussion on
financial security from builders,
The applicant does have the choice of what method of security
they post but Letters of Credit were never legally an option. He
described ways to specify security.
Louise stated that it is her opinion that the Board formally
adopt that recommendation of Town Counsel as a regulation.
He also recommends conditions for a Letter of Credit and they
must be net before a Letter of Credit is accepted.
Wayne asked Tom to research what other towns are doing in regards
to cash collateral vs. letters of credit.
Pat stated that he would like to consider it some more,
consider other possibilities or scenarios.
Wayne stated he would like to know if the standards for accepting
a Letter of Credit (as outlined by Town Counsel) can be met.
He will look into this during the next 2 weeks.
Judy stated that it is obvious that something is wrong because
there are so many developments which are completed, the roads are
terrible and the developer is gone.
Tom stated would have to have a public hearing to amend the
regulations.
Pat suggested speaking with the State Zoning Federation to get
any information they may have,
Tom will attempt to draft a sample regulation.
RULES and REGULATIONS:
The Board agreed that this was left that Tom would review them
and prepared his comments and then the Board will review them.
Tom stated that he will continue to make comments and the Board
will discuss this at the first meeting in May.
CORRESPONDENCE:
A letter from Windchime Point Condo owners regarding their
meeting with Pat Butler and John Sokolivic.
Most of the issues were ones for Pat Butler to respond tc®
7
