<br />MASHPEE CULTURAL COUNCIL <br />MINUTES MARCH 24, 2022 VIA ZOOM <br /> <br />PRESENT: Nina Cocomazzi, David Egel, Mary Alice Stahleker, Andrea Watson, Janet Wright. Missed: <br />MaryKate O’Brien, Winnie Graham. Interviewees: Wendy Bornstein, John Miller, Lee Smith. No visitors <br />signed into Zoom. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order by N. Cocomazzi at 10:03 a.m. A quorum was determined present. <br /> <br />INTERVIEW OF POTENTIAL COUNCIL MEMBERS <br />Council members reviewed the applications of three candidates: Wendy Bornstein, John Miller, Lee Smith and <br />asked them to give a bit more background, express why they were interested in the Council and what they <br />would bring to it. All have extensive experience in non-profit organizations and have served either on cultural <br />boards or Councils in other towns. Interviewees were excused from the meeting. Discussion centered on their <br />qualifications and interest. Feeling that the council would be greatly enhanced with their membership, on <br />motion made by D. Egel and seconded by J. Wright, Council unanimously VOTED to recommend to the Select <br />Board their appointment to the Council. <br />A.Watson will notify the candidates of the vote and M. Stahleker will notify Stephanie Coleman, contact to the <br />Select Board. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The minutes of the November 9, 2021 meeting were unanimously APPROVED on motion by D. Egel seconded <br />by J. Wright <br /> <br />TREASURER’S REPORT – Nothing to report at this time. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS - None <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />A brief discussion was held on future leadership of the Council. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the requirement by MCC to reach out to community and how to do that. <br />If Night Out occurs, Council will have a table. <br /> N. Cocomazzi will contact Mashpee website to see if we could have a tagline sending people to the <br />Cultural Council website for a survey. <br /> M. Stahleker will send information to Council, when new members are on board, about previous Night <br />Out plans and survey. J. Wright suggests that it would be helpful to know what populations we are missing <br />which could inform our decisions, as well as what kind of events to support. <br /> <br />FUTURE MEETING <br />No future meeting was scheduled at this time. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br />On motion by D.
