Road North <br />Mashpee MA 02649 <br />Phone # 508-539-1418 <br />Board of Registrars <br />Friday, November 20, 2020 <br />Town Hall Waquoit Conference Room, 16 Great Neck Road North, Mashpee, MA <br />Town Hall is closed to the public. <br />Present: In person attendee Deborah Dami, Ernest Virgilio and Judy Mooney <br />Call to Order: <br />Meeting was convened at 9:00 A.M. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />To be reviewed at a later date. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Mashpee had 2 questions on the State Ballot #3 & #4 from 11-3-2020. Selectman, Andrew <br />Gottlieb, completed recount procedures for a recount to be conducted of Question #4 which <br />stated for the Town of Mashpee to accept provisions of Section 39M of Chapter 40 of the <br />General Laws. Impose a surcharge of 2% real estate tax levy on real estate property owners. <br />Volunteers were called and tables set up with two people per table, with masks to count bundles <br />of 50 voted ballots. One precinct at a time was counted and brought to a separate table where <br />they were tallied on a computer, then totals obtained. <br />Prior results were overturned and the Yes vote surpassed the No vote by a greater count. <br />A journed 12:30 P.M. <br />Ernie made a motion to adjourn, Ms. Dami seconded it. <br />Additional To ics <br />None discussed at this time. <br />
