Student Representative Deliyah Fortes: <br /> Miss Fortes updated the members on the start of the school year including student vol unteerism,extra-cu rricul ar activities,and All <br /> Sports Night. <br /> 5. Representative from the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Education Department <br /> Ms. Brown provided an update on the various initiatives of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Education Department including educator <br /> workshops,middle school(grade 7)exploratory course,cultural education,and student opportunities. <br /> 6. Introduction of School Resource Officers-Katie Hennessey and Peter Cogswell <br /> Introduction of Food Services Director and Assistant Director-Kevin Dellarciprete and Olivia Bengtson <br /> Superintendent DeBoer introduced the District's School Resource Officers,Katie Hennesseyand Peter Cogswell,aswell as new Food <br /> Services Director,Kevin Dellarciprete,and Assistant Food Services Director,Olivia Bengtson. <br /> 7. Falcon Discovery Camp Share-Out <br /> Camp Coordinator Kristine Mastrogiacomo provided a share-outof the summer's Falcon Discovery Camp. This year's camp was a <br /> hybrid version of Camp Falcon and Genius Academy. Students were able to work on self-selected"passion projects"in the morning <br /> and the afternoon provided time for games,activities and field trips. Transportation and snacks were provided by the Camp. <br /> 8. Report of the Superintendent <br /> • SchoolYear22-23 <br /> The Superintendent updated the Committee on the start of SY22-23. Many events and activities have taken place including <br /> new staff orientation,student transition events at all three schools,bus driver and monitor orientation,substitute orientation, <br /> safety and emergency drills,Back-to-School Staff Cookout,a visit from Southport Falcons to all three schools,and a planning <br /> meeting with Mashpee Men's Club at Mashpee Middle-High School. <br /> • Enrollment and Personnel Updates <br /> An overview of the start of the year enrollmentand staffing was given by the Superintendent. <br /> • Acknowledgements <br /> Superintendent DeBoer acknowledged the MPS IT Departmentin honorof National IT Professionals Day. <br /> 9. Directorof Finance <br /> • Food Services <br /> Ms. Lopes provided the MPS Departmentof Food Services financials from 711121-6/30/22 and 7/1/22-9/21/22 for the <br /> Committee's review. <br /> • FY23 Budget-Update <br /> Ms. Lopes presented FY23 budgetto actual report and the FY22 and FY23 school choice revenue and expenditures reports. <br /> • FY24 Budget Process/Timeline <br /> Ms. Lopes shared the budgetmemo from the Town Manageraswell as the budget calendarand the capital improvement <br /> program calendarfor FY24. <br /> • Mashpee Middle-High School Stadium Project Update <br /> Ms. Lopes updated the members on the progress of the Mashpee Middle-High School stadium project. The project is in the <br /> final stages and the field should be readyfor playthe week of October 10th. <br /> 10. Specifically Assig ned/Unfin ished Business <br /> • Student Advisory Committee(M.G.L.ch 71,section 38M) <br /> This initiative is in the planning stages. Ms. Lewis and MMHS Principal Monette will be meeting to discuss further. <br /> Update will be added to future meeting agendas. <br /> 11. New Business <br />
