8. 2021 AP and MCAS Data—Assistant Superintendent Hanscom <br /> Assistant Superintendent Hanscom presented 2021 AP and MCAS Data to the Committee and reviewed how the <br /> data would be used to inform instruction. <br /> 9. MMHS Block Schedule Evaluation Team—Progress Update—Assistant Superintendent Hanscom <br /> Assistant Superintendent Hanscom provided an update on the work of the MMGS Block Schedule Evaluation <br /> Team. Feedback surveys have been sent to students and over 300 responses have been received. Other data is <br /> being compiled on the efficacy of the block schedule. The Evaluation Team will be prepared to present their <br /> findings to the School Committee in January. <br /> 10. Report of the Superintendent: <br /> Professional Development Update (12/06 Half Day: Dr.Kalise Wornum)--PFS Pillar 2: <br /> Educators participated in a half day of professional development on December 6th. A presentation by Dr. Kalise <br /> Wornum was hosted at MMHS. This presentation was tied to the Plan for Success,Pillar 2. <br /> Update from 12/7/21 Mashpee Public Schools-Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Partnership meeting <br /> In packet,pages 5-8 <br /> Enrollment and Personnel Updates: <br /> Superintendent DeBoer shared updates on new hires,transfers and retirements (in packet,pages 9 and 10) <br /> School Year 21-22 Update including Administrator updates: <br /> Report of the Special Education Director, Outreach Coordinator, and Athletics Director in packet(pages 10-15) <br /> Dr. Goulart provided a recap of the annual Giving Tree event. <br /> Ms. O'Brien announced that the Quashnet School Student Council float took first place in the annual Mashpee <br /> Christmas parade. She also thanked the Southport Falcons, Dino's Pizza, Mashpee Police Department, the <br /> Barnstable County Sheriff's Department and many other community members for their generosity during this <br /> season of giving. <br /> Acknowledgements: <br /> Superintendent DeBoer recognized Director of Instructional Technology, Suzy Brooks, for completing a year-long <br /> Student Data Privacy course, MMHS senior Isabella Eagan who is the recipient of this year's Massachusetts <br /> Association of School Superintendents' Academic Excellence Award, MMHS students Daisy O'Reilly and Peter <br /> DeFrancesco for being selected to the Southeast Senior Jazz Band, MMHS Teacher Amanda Hough for being <br /> awarded a $500.00 Cape Cod 5 Educational Mini-Grant to fund the Advanced Manufacturing—Connecting our <br /> Students to the Community through Innovative Learning Opportunities project, and Brian Kehrl, MMHS Teacher <br /> and English Department Chair for being selected to serve on the Grade 8 MCAS Assessment Committee. <br /> Superintendent's Proposed FY23 Budget including FY23 CIP Requests: <br /> Superintendent DeBoer's proposed FY23 budget was presented to the Town Manager and Town Boards on <br /> December 15th. A public hearing of the proposed budget will take place at the January 5th School Committee <br /> meeting; School Committee will vote on the proposed budget on January 19th. <br /> Leadership MMHS Transition: <br /> Superintendent Deboer updated that search will begin in January/February for new Mashpee Middle High School <br /> Principal <br /> 11.
