Report of the Superintendent <br /> Enrollment and Personnel Updates: <br /> Superintendent DeBoer shared updates on new hires,resignations and retirements. <br /> MMHS Interim Principal Search: <br /> Superintendent DeBoer announced the hiring of Joshua Tarsky as Interim Principal ofMashpee Middle High <br /> School. Mr. Tarsky will begin on February 1, 2022 and will be formally introduced to the Committee at the <br /> February 9th meeting. <br /> Update of Quashnet School Principal,MaryKate O'Brien: <br /> Ms. O'Brien provided an update on afterschool activities,benchmark testing, and the new"Nest"at Quashnet—a <br /> dedicated quiet and calming space. <br /> Update of Coombs School Principal,Deb Goulart: <br /> Dr. Goulart updated the Committee on afterschool activities, mid-year assessments, Preschool and Kindergarten <br /> registration, and the Coombs School new blog. <br /> Update Stadium Field Project: <br /> The Superintendent shared an update on the proposed MMHS Multi-Use Artificial Turf Stadium Project. The <br /> Community Preservation Act Committee met on January 6th and voted in favor of the DPW's request for funding <br /> the portion of the project that qualifies for CPC funding. Next steps include approval from CIP for funding and if <br /> approved,review by the Select Board who will determine if project will go before voters at the May Town <br /> Meeting. <br /> Planning—Summer 22 Student Learning Opportunities: <br /> The Superintendent reported that planning for Summer 22 Student Learning Opportunities has begun. Summer <br /> programming will take place at the Quashnet School beginning July 12th and run for 5 consecutive weeks. <br /> 11. Report of the Director of Finance: <br /> Director of Finance,Ms. Lopes provided an update; nothing new to note. <br /> An update on Food Services was also provided. <br /> 12. Subcommittees/Liaison Meetings/Working Groups: <br /> Outreach/Engagement Working Group (Cathy Lewis and Brian Weeden): <br /> Ms. Lewis provided an update on the development of the annual Family Opinion Survey.
