Update—MPS District COVID-19 Update—MPS District COVID-19 Health Coordinator Stacey Schakel <br /> Ms. Schakel updated the committee on the current health and safety status of the district. Weekly in-school routine <br /> safety checks and at-home surveillance testing will continue through the end of the school year. . <br /> 9. Report of the Superintendent <br /> Enrollment and Personnel Updates: <br /> Superintendent DeBoer shared updates on new hires,resignations and retirements. <br /> Update of Coombs School Principal,Deb Goulart: <br /> Dr. Goulart updated the committee on happenings at the Coombs School including PTO fundraising efforts <br /> and preschool/kindergarten registration. <br /> Recognitions/Acknowledgement: <br /> The Superintendent congratulated the MMHS girls varsity basketball team and Coach Jasmyn Silva on their <br /> outstanding season; MMHS junior Ava Kelly on being chosen as one of the top ten all-around gymnasts in the <br /> state. The Superintendent also acknowledged grade 7 students chosen to participate in the National History Day <br /> competition and Quashnet School teacher, Ms. Alexandra Keohane for successfully defending her dissertation and <br /> earning her doctorate degree. <br /> Update—MMHS Block Scheduling Evaluation Committee <br /> Dr. Hanscom provided an update on MMHS Block Scheduling Evaluation Committee. A recommendation <br /> will be brought to the committee at the May meeting. <br /> Update-2022 MPS Parent/Guardian Opinion Surveys and Student Opinion Surveys(Gr. 5-12) <br /> The Superintendent updated the committee on the annual MPS Parent/Guardian Surveys. Surveys were sent to <br /> families on February 28th. A reminder to complete the survey if families had not already done so was sent on <br /> March 7th. Participation rates are as follows: KCC 42.7%, QS 35.9%, MMHS 30.8%. There are 983 families in <br /> the district. <br /> Update Multi-purpose Stadium Capital Project <br /> The Superintendent updated the committee on the status of the multi-purpose stadium capital project. <br /> Article will be on the special warrant at the May 2nd Town Meeting. Bids being reviewed by DPW. <br />
