3. Public Comment: <br /> Mr. Craig Mayen, 62 Old Colony Drive,Mashpee, MA 02649 -parent to three Mashpee Middle High School <br /> students. Mr. Mayen expressed his thanks to the Committee for funding the MMHS Robotics Team trip to the <br /> VEX Robotics World Competition in Dallas,TX. Mr. Mayen appealed to the Committee that the program be <br /> funded through the general school budget. <br /> 4. Share-out: VEX Robotics World Competition (Dallas,TX May 4-8)Amanda Hough and students: <br /> MMHS Technology and Engineering Teacher and Robotics Team Coach,Mrs.Amanda Hough, shared out on the <br /> team's trip in May to the VEX Robotics World Competition in Dallas,TX. <br /> 5. Student Representative Deliyah Fortes: <br /> Student Representative Deliyah Fortes provided an update on Mashpee Middle High School happenings including <br /> Academic Awards Night, cultural performance by Alex Torres and His Latin Orchestra, the spring athletic season, <br /> student government,the middle school end of the year dance at the Popponesset Inn,August volunteer <br /> opportunities for NJHS and open leadership positions for SY22-23, chorus concert, and final exams. <br /> 6. Approval of Minutes of May 18,2022: <br /> Motion made to approve minutes of May 18, 2022 <br /> Motion to approve: Mr. Weeden <br /> Second: Ms. Lewis <br /> Roll Call Vote: In favor: Ms. Bartlett,Ms. Lewis, Mr. Weeden,Mr. Myers, Mr. Davis <br /> Opposed: none <br /> 7. MMHS Varsity Baseball Trip to Florida (April Vacation 2023)Dan Patenaude,Varsity Baseball Coach: <br /> Varsity Baseball Coach, Dan Patenaude presented a proposal for the Varsity Baseball team to travel to Jackie <br /> Robinson Training Complex during April vacation 2023. Report of the Superintendent: <br /> Enrollment and Personnel Updates: <br /> Superintendent DeBoer shared updates on new hires,resignations, and retirements. <br /> Update-School Year 21-22-including Administrator reports: <br /> Ms. O'Brien updated the Committee on end-of-the-year happenings at the Quashnet School including the <br /> transition visit to MMHS for grade 6 students, grade 2 transition visit to QS, field days, recognition <br /> awards, field trips, and the PTO sponsored QS-KCC kick ball game. <br /> Dr. Goulart updated the Committee on end-of-the-year happenings at the Coombs Schools including the <br /> grade 1 field trip to Brewster, "ABC Countdown to Summer" days, grade 2 visit to the Mashpee Senior <br /> Center to perform songs on Flag Day, grade 1 Kite Day, field days, and end-of-the-year awards. <br /> MMHS Stadium project update: <br /> The MMHS stadium project is running on schedule. <br />
