7 Community Preservation Committee Minutes September 1, 2022 It was noted the applicants sought assistance from partnerships of the Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge and other agencies to leverage funding. Due to the size of this parcel and the inactive 2007 Open Space Plan,the Town does not qualify for many grant funding opportunities. Motion made by Ms.Waygan to accept the CPA Application proposed to Acquire 751 Main Street,Mashpee for Open Space/Conservation Purposes to be considered at the May 2023 Special Town Meeting. Motion seconded by Mr. Hyde. VOTE: Unanimous. 9-0. Roll Call Vote: Mrs. Thayer,yes Mr. Hyde,yes Mr. Larkin,yes Ms.Waygan,yes Mr.Weeden,yes Mr. Smith,yes Ms. Barbee,yes Ms.Russell, yes Mr. Klein,yes Opposed, none Possible Vote to„Ext)end CPA Administrative Funds to conduct anwindependent APraisal of 751 Main„Street�88-acresm for Open Stt� e/Conservation Po hoses; With the approval of the application to acquire 751 Main Street for Open Space/Conservation Purposes, the CPC agreed to move forward to authorize an independent appraisal of 751 Main Street, Mashpee. Motion made by Mr. Smith to authorize a real estate appraisal of the 8-acre site; 751 Main Street,Mashpee for a sum not to exceed $4,000. Motion seconded by Mr. Hyde. VOTE: Unanimous. 8-0-1.
