8 <br /> Mashpee Select Board <br /> Minutes <br /> December 19, 2022 <br /> DiscussionwandµCertification of Hiring Process for Police Public Safgly D J atcher:MShannonvLeew <br /> Correspondence was received from Police Chief Scott Carline dated December 15,2022 relative to the <br /> hiring process for a public safety police dispatcher. With the retirement of Dispatch Supervisor Scott <br /> Halligan, a vacancy has been created. Shannon Lee has been offered a conditional offer of employment <br /> pending the certification of the hiring process by the Select Board. The appointment would take effect <br /> on January 3, 2023. <br /> Town Manager Rodney C. Collins affirmed that all policies and procedures relative to the hiring <br /> process for public safety police dispatcher Shannon Lee have been adhered to. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Wyman-Colombo to certify the hiring process of Shannon Lee as <br /> public safety dispatcher as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Wyman-Colombo, yes <br /> Opposed, none <br /> Discussion and Ap.KgyalMof New Ambulance Billin� Rates: FirewChief John Phelan: <br /> Fire Chief John F. Phelan was in attendance to request the Select Board approve an increase to the <br /> Ambulance Transport fees to be responsive to the needs of the Town and the services provided. The <br /> fees were last assessed in 2016. The revised fee structure would allow the Town to remain comparable <br /> with other local towns. <br /> Based on discussions with the Town Manager and Finance Director an increase is strongly <br /> recommended. It was noted the recovery rate for ambulance billing is 97%. <br /> The proposed rates are as follows; <br /> BLS Emergency $1200 <br /> AL S Emergency $1800 <br /> Mileage $30 per mile <br /> Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to approve the new Ambulance Billing Rates as proposed. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Wyman-Colombo. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Wyman-Colombo,yes <br /> Opposed,none <br />
