TowN OF MASHPEE ASSESSING DEPARTMENT <br />Chairman Andrews motioned to approve Application for Agricultural Recreation and Open <br />Space Exemptions for above listed properties. <br />John Bartos seconded the motion. <br />VOTE: Yes — 3 <br />Roll Call Vote: John Bartos, yes; Paul Andrews, yes; Gregg Fraser, yes. <br />3. Various Applications for Fiscal 2023 Personal Exemption on List <br />Chairman Andrews motioned to approve the applications for Personal Exemptions on list # <br />E-11162022-G <br />John Bartos seconded the motion. <br />VOTE: Yes — 3 <br />Roll Call Vote: John Bartos, yes; Paul Andrews, yes; Gregg Fraser, yes. <br />4. Executive Session: <br />• Personal Exemptions — The following do not qualify, Director of Assessing will send a <br />letter of explanation <br />1. P Spencer George — 44 Portside Drive <br />2. Edward Freedman — 6 Yellow Fin <br />Chairman Andrews motioned to deny personal exemption applications of above <br />residents. <br />John Bartos seconded the motion. <br />VOTE: Yes — 3 <br />Roll Call Vote: John Bartos, yes; Paul Andrews, yes; Gregg Fraser, yes. <br />5. Old Business: <br />1. Residential Exemption Update by Director of Assessing: <br />• Director Gibbons informed the Board that the annual tax classification hearing <br />is scheduled for 11/21/2022 at 6:35pm in the Town Hall. Mr. Gibbons <br />presented numerous handouts containing residential exemption scenarios. <br />The Board of Assessors voted to recommend the following: <br />1. A residential factor of "'I", meaning no shift of the tax rate. <br />2. No to an Open Space discount <br />3. No to a Small Commercial exemption <br />4.
