It was agreed an RFQ would be <br /> developed to procure consulting services at the start of the new fiscal year. <br /> The Town of Barnstable has a grant coordinator and staff members to secure grant funding. As an entitlement <br /> community Barnstable has received grant funding for this loan program. This is a heavy-lift program with strict <br /> compliance,timelines and monitoring. The homeowner is required to have all paperwork in order for eligibility. <br /> All lead applicants and participating applicants must meet the required threshold at the time of the application. <br /> Communities that do not meet the threshold will be eliminated from further MA CDBG funding consideration. <br /> As stated, as an alternative and during the interim there are low interest funds available through the Barnstable <br /> County Septic Loan Program and other sources. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Wyman-Colombo to authorize the Town Manager to seek consultants to assist <br /> in the Community Development Block Grant application after July 1,2023 (FY2024) for a sum not to <br /> exceed $9,000 for grant preparation services. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Weeden,yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Wyman-Colombo,yes Opposed, none <br /> _.... _..._.....w._ww.. _.... _ � .. <br /> Discussion and Aroval of Town Manager Comes one with State_O_ff cats with Regard to 5�eed Limits,on <br /> Qesirlatedm Roads: <br /> The matter of speed limits on designated roads was discussed. Town Manager Rodney C. Collins indicated he <br /> would research and review the options to establish proper, prudent and reasonable speed limits for the safety of <br /> individuals in the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cotton to support the Town Manager in his efforts maintain and reduce speed <br /> limits for the safety of the citizens of the Town of Mashpee and its visitors. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Wyman-Colombo, yes Opposed,none <br />
