MINUTES <br /> BETTERMENT HEARING — SUMMERWOOD CONDOMINIUMS <br /> MASHPEE BOARD OF SEWER COMMISSIONERS <br /> THURSDAY JANUARY 30, 2023, 6:30 p.m. <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> WAQUOIT MEETING ROOM <br /> 16 GREAT NECK ROAD NORTH <br /> MASHPEE, MA 02649 <br /> *In-person, televised meeting* <br /> Present: Chair, Chad Smith, Vice-Chair, Meredith Harris, <br /> Interim Town Engineer, Ray Jack, Phyllis Sprout, Al Towle <br /> Other Attendees: Diane Kelly, Chair, Board of Trustees, Summerwood <br /> Marion Klaussner, Summerwood <br /> Diane Mulligan, Summerwood <br /> Tom Stark, Board of Trustees, Summerwood <br /> There were 21 Attendees of the general public. <br /> Absent: Clerk, Catherine Castaneda <br /> 6:30PM —Convene Meeting Chairman, Chad Smith called the meeting to order at 6:30PM in open session at <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> MOMENT OF SILENCE <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION <br /> Diane Kelly expressed concern pertaining to the lift station. She asked if there will be a separate cost to the <br /> unit owners for said station. Mr. Jack answered stating that none of the costs will fall on the unit owners of <br /> Summerwood. <br /> She asked who will have use of the lift station and Mr. Jack stated that it is hard to say. <br /> She went on to inquire about the bottom line cost and was assured that the cost voted on tonight is the cost <br /> that the unit owners will be paying. <br /> She then inquired about the cost of the units hooking up to the system. At the present time, there isn't an <br /> answer to this question. Mr. Jack suggested getting quotes from several contractors and then choosing just <br /> one to do the work. <br /> Tom Stark stated that there are 117 units and not 116 as was listed on the assessor list. He requested that it <br /> be amended. <br /> Mr. Stark asked if Sea Oaks is getting a lift station and inquired if the 70-30 split is negotiable. <br /> Mr. Jack stated that the two projects are much different in nature and the 70-30 is not negotiable. <br /> 1 <br />
