Sewer commissioner stated a whole group decision <br /> would be preferred and hoped to bring this subject up on the 13tn <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Review and approval of expense warrants. Chair Baumgaertel, Kripani Patel and Ernest <br /> Virgilio signed the expense warrants. <br /> 2. Review of request for Title V variance—38 Waterway. Mr. Harrington commented that <br /> a design plan has been submitted to repair the failed septic system at 38 Waterway. The <br /> system failed by regulation due to the lack of the required 4 feet to Groundwater from <br /> the existing SAS. The proposed design plan includes a 1500-gallon septic tank, a 1,000- <br /> gallon pump chamber and chambered trench in the driveway. The plan must be approved <br /> at a public meeting due to a setback variance to the coastal bank. The plan has been <br /> reviewed with comments and subsequent revisions made. <br /> Raul Lizardi, Engineerfrom Cape and Island Engineering introduced himself for the record. <br /> Mr. Lizardi stated this property is in the process of getting sold and failed inspection <br /> because of the leaching field. Mr. Lizardi stated that there are two lines leaving the house, <br /> one in the front, which isn't connected to anything, and one in the back with a leaching <br /> field. The intention is to replace the entire system however anywhere that the tank is <br /> located a variance is needed for title 5 and local regulations. <br /> The Board members and Mr. Harrington discuss the variances and agree that the <br /> proposed system is way better than what is there now. <br /> There being no further comments or discussion Kripani Patel motioned to approve the <br /> Title 5 variance for 38 Waterway with the variances on the design plan.
