Present: Superintendent Patricia DeBoer,Assistant Superintendent Hope Hanscom, Director of Finance Ashley Lopes, School Committee Vice Chair Cathy Lewis, Member Don Myers, Member Matthew Davis Also Present: Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Education Representative Darius Coombs, Select Board Member Michaela Wyman-Columbo, MMHS Principal Stacy Monette, Quashnet School Principal MaryKate O'Brien Ms. Lewis called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM 1. Ratify agenda of February 8,2023: Note: Any questions posted by individual School Committee members in advance of this meeting and responses the date are posted on the District's website ("School Committee Packets"and on the"Finance"page) Motion to approve: Mr. Davis Second: Mr. Myers Roll Call Vote: In favor: Mr. Davis, Mr. Myers, Ms. Lewis 2. Public Comment 3. Introduction of Mashpee Select Board Member Michaela Wyman-Columbo Town of Mashpee Select Board Member Michela Wyman-Columbo introduced herself to the Committee. Ms. Wyman-Columbo visited all three schools and was impressed with both staff and students. 4. Student Representative Deliyah Fortes—PFS Pillar 2 Miss Fortes updated the Committee on various activities, fundraisers, and happenings that have been taking place at MMHS. 5. Representative of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Education Department Cultural Outreach Coordinator, Mr. Darius Coombs provided an update on the many upcoming opportunities and workshops that the Tribal Education Department is offering including the Cultural enrichment After School Program at Quashnet School for Tribal boys and lunch bunches at KCC and MMHS. 6. *Approval of Minutes January 18, 2023 1/18/23 Recorded Meeting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNwLRui-V'8 Motion to approve: Mr. Davis Second: Mr. Myers Roll Call Vote: In favor: Mr. Davis, Mr. Myers, Ms. Lewis 7. Report of the Superintendent • Professional Development Update(2/6 Half Day: Dr. Kalise Wornum)—PFS Pillars 1-3 Dr. Kalise Wornum continued her partnership with the District focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
