Town Manager Updates. <br /> N/A <br /> 2. Presentation of Mashpee School Budget. <br /> The Superintendent of Schools, Patricia DeBoer gave a presentation on the FY 2024 Budget. <br /> Ms. DeBoer stated that the Mashpee Public Schools serves approximately 1,460 students which includes 80 <br /> multilingual students. She pointed out that there aren't any fees charged to families for riding buses, playing <br /> sports,taking AP exams, supplies, etc. All of which is included in the budget. <br /> The Superintendent of Schools FY 2024 Recommended Budget is$25,195,274. Less $736,095. (School Choice <br /> Offset), Less $105,000 (CIP),for a total of$24,354,179. An increase of 2.32%over FY 2023 requested budget <br /> amount. <br /> It was stated that the Chapter 70 State Aid Grant (Student Opportunity Act) averages approximately <br /> $30/student and doesn't impact the Town of Mashpee much. <br /> 3. Begin Review of Draft May Town Meeting Warrant Articles. <br /> A motion was made by Mr. McKelvey to HOLD Proposed Article#1 of the Special Town Meeting Warrant. <br /> Motion seconded by Jamie Schuh. <br /> VOTE: Passed 6-0-0 <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Pettengill,yes Mr. McKelvey,yes Mrs. Furbush,yes <br /> Jamie Schuh,yes Lee Smith,yes Mr.Weiner,yes <br /> Opposed, none <br /> 2 <br />
