Taylor <br />Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Weeden at 6:30 p.m. <br />Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br />MINUTES <br />Monday, January 9, 2023 Regular Session (Amended <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton to approve the Regular Session minutes of Monday; January 9, <br />2023 as amended. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call vote: <br />Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br />Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Opposed, none <br />Monday, January 23, 2023 Regular Session Joint Meeting with AHT: <br />Motion made by Selectman Wyman -Colombo to approve the Joint Meeting with the Affordable <br />Housing Trust minutes and Regular Session minutes of Monday; January 23, 2023 as presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call vote: <br />Selectman Weeden, yes <br />Selectman Sherman, yes <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />Public Comment: <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br />Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Opposed, none <br />Ken Dembrowski a resident of Great Field Landing related concern regarding comments made at the last <br />Select Board meeting conveying the Town is in a crisis and would require an override in 2025 once the <br />wastewater treatment center is connected. Mr. Dembroski indicated the Town needs spending control. A <br />recent newspaper article stated the Town is in favor of expending $200,000 on a disc golf course. Mr. <br />Dembrowski stated he is not opposed, however fiscal irresponsibility is something the Town does not need. <br />In his opinion this is a non -essential luxury item. Mr. Dembrowski indicated he is concerned with the <br />message that is sent to the taxpayers when funds could be used for wastewater treatment. <br />For clarification purposes it was disclosed the disc golf project has met the criteria for Community <br />Preservation Act funding. This source of funding cannot be used for wastewater initiatives. <br />
