Presentations of additional information regarding Town Meeting Warrant Articles on hold: <br />a. Planning Board-Annual Town Meeting Warrant Articles 30, 31 and 32. <br /> <br />Mary Waygan and Karen Faulkner gave a brief presentation regarding the proposed Solar Energy Zoning <br />Ordinances and Bylaws in Town Meeting Warrant Article 30, 31 and 32. There will be a Public Hearing April 19, <br />2023 regarding the proposed Zoning Bylaw amendment. <br />It was stated that there are currently no private solar energy facilities in the Town and the Bylaw does not <br />regulate carports. <br /> <br />2. Presentations of additional information regarding Town Meeting Warrant petition articles on hold: <br />a. Ms. Susan Dangel – Annual Town Meeting Warrant Petition Articles 38 and 39. <br /> <br />Ms. Dangel, a founding member of the Mashpee Wakeby Pond Alliance advocating for clean waters gave a <br />presentation focusing on the ponds in the Town. There will be a conversation Zoom meeting on March 30, 2023 <br />@ 7:00pm hosted by Mashpee Clean Waters. <br /> <br />b. Mr. Matthew Jalowy – Annual Town Meeting Warrant Petition Article 42. <br /> <br />Mr. Jalowy stated that his petition has to do specifically with Santuit Pond. The petition proposes restricting <br />motor power on the pond to ten horsepower and to reduce speed to 6 mph. <br /> <br />c. Ms. B. Lynne Barbee – Annual Town Meeting Warrant Petition Articles 43 and 44. <br /> <br />Ms. Barbee spoke about performance standards needed for Solar Overlay. She stated her motivation is to put <br />much needed housing on residential land and not solar farms. This petition mirrors Annual Town Meeting <br />Warrant Article 30, 31 and 32. <br /> <br />d. Mr. Glenn McCarthy – Annual Town Meeting Warrant Petition Article 45. <br /> <br />Mr. McCarthy spoke about the repeal of 2018 changes to the Raze and Replace bylaw. <br /> <br />3. Review and discuss Town Meeting Warrant Articles on Hold. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Lee Smith to remove the HOLD on Special Town Meeting Warrant Article 1. <br />Motion seconded by Glenn Thompson. <br />Motion passed by unanimous consent. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Jamie Schuh to recommend Article 1 of the Special Town Meeting Warrant. <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
