Mr. Colombo also wanted the paperwork to be “cleaned up.” Mr. McManus noted that the
order needs to be closed by the applicant.

Ms. Clapprood thought the two orders could be done sequentially. Mr. McManus suggested
that the old order be satisfied with a certificate of compliance prior to a new order
commencing.

Ms. Clapprood moved to close and issue with the condition of submission of a 3-year signed
contract between the homeowner and a qualified professional to monitor and maintain all
mitigation plantings. Any and all restored lawn areas must meet standards under Regulation
31 and documentation thereof must be provided to staff and with the condition that the pre-
existing order be satisfied prior, and no part of this proposal can commence until the existing
order be completed and closed out with certificate of compliance which was seconded by
Ms. Godfrey.

Roll Call Vote:
Marjorie Clapprood (Yes)
Sandra Godfrey (Yes)
Erin Copeland (Yes)
Paul Colombo (No)
4 – 1 Motion carried

6:18 Southworth Mashpee Properties, LLC, 130 Willowbend Drive. Proposed maintenance RDA

pruning of trees and vegetation on a golf course fairway. Representative: Baxter-Nye

Engineering & Surveying

This request is for improving safe view and continued play on the fairway. The lower portion
of the trees would not be affected. Mr. Colombo noted this appears that this previously
looked at. (Was noted previously, but action sometime in the future). The plan is to top trees
and do required pruning with some change growth pattern occurring. Staff would meet with
and provide guidance to the golf course to make sure everyone was on the same page. Mr.
McManus noted there could be replanting if some trees died. Mr. Cook noted that could
plant other type of plantings. Mr. McManus advised that bore beetles could be a problem
depending on when the work was done. However, the applicant indicated that this would be
done in the Winter months and not a problem. In response to Mr. Kent, the applicant
indicated they would use pole pruners and climbers to accomplish the work.

Mr. Cook made a motion for a negative determination with the condition to coordinate with
staff seconded by Ms. Clapprood.

Roll Call Vote:
Steve Cook (Yes)
Marjorie Clapprood (Yes)
Sandra Godfrey (Yes)
Erin Copeland (Yes)
Paul Colombo (Yes)
5 – 0 Unanimous
