<br /> <br />MINUTES <br />MASHPEE BOARD OF SEWER COMMISSIONERS <br />THURSDAY MAY 25, 2023, 2:00 p.m. <br />MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br />WAQUOIT MEETING ROOM <br />16 GREAT NECK ROAD NORTH <br />MASHPEE, MA 02649 <br />*In-person, televised meeting* <br /> <br />Present: Chair, Chad Smith, Vice-Chair, Meredith Harris, Clerk, Catherine Castaneda, <br /> Interim Town Engineer, Ray Jack, Joe Lyons, Phyllis Sprout, Al Towle <br /> <br />Other attendees: Chris Ball, Mashpee TV <br /> Sandra Tripp, GHD <br /> <br /> Absent: Erin Copeland <br /> <br />2:00PM – Convene Meeting Chair, Chad Smith called the meeting to order at 2:00PM in open session at <br />Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />MOMENT OF SILENCE <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION <br />None at this Time. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />Mr. Towle made a motion to accept the minutes of the May 11, 2023 Sewer Commission Meeting. <br />Meredith Harris seconded the motion. <br />Motion passed by unanimous consent. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />1. Review/Update and vote on Website Redesign. <br />Catherine Castaneda stated that the website was updated within 24 hours of submitting change requests to <br />the IT Department. <br />Vice-Chair Harris stated that they are working on making sure that the overview is short, to the point and easy <br />to navigate by Mashpee Residents. She said it’s important to get it up and running as soon as possible. <br />Mr. Lyons posed a question to Mr. Jack about a home being below street level therefore, needing to have a <br />pump installed requiring the homeowner to hire a contractor to connect the home to the street main as well <br />as an electrical connection installed for the pump. Mr. Jack stated that a permit will need to be pulled and that <br />he will check on approved electricians he went on to state that the process, right now, is that a single permit is <br />pulled by the plumbing contractor and includes multiply agencies on it. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
