<br />To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Treasurer, upon the approval of the Select Board, to borrow the sum
<br />of $8,000,000, and to appropriate said sum for purposes of paying the costs of the following capital
<br />improvements, including all costs incidental and related thereto, as recommended by the Capital Improvement
<br />Program Committee:
<br />
<br />1. Purchase a new Fire Truck;
<br />2. Mashpee Public Schools HVAC Replacement design, engineering, and construction/ Energy Audit;
<br />3. Town Hall HVAC Water Piping design and construction;
<br />4. Police Department HVAC Replacement design, engineering, and construction; and
<br />5. DPW Roof Replacement design, engineering, and construction.

<br />provided, however, that any borrowing authorized hereunder shall be expressly subject to and contingent upon
<br />approval by the voters of the Town of a ballot question to exclude from the limitations of Proposition 2 1/2, G.L.
<br />c. 59, §21C, the amounts required to pay the principal and interest on any bonds, notes or certificates of
<br />indebtedness issued hereunder; or take any other action relating thereto.

<br />Explanation: This article seeks to authorize the Treasurer, after approval by the Select Board, to borrow
<br />$8,000,000 to pay for Capital Expenditures for a new fire truck, HVAC replacement design, engineering and
<br />construction, as well as, an energy audit for Mashpee Public School Buildings, HVAC replacement design,
<br />engineering and construction the Mashpee Police Department Building, HVAC water piping design and
<br />construction at Mashpee Town Hall, and design, engineering and construction of a roof at the Department of
<br />Public Works Building. This article requires a 2/3 vote.

<br />The Select Board recommends approval of Article 11 by a vote of 5-0
<br />The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 11 by a vote of 7-0
