<br /> <br />Article 2 <br /> <br />To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of $1,964,629 from revenue available for <br />appropriation, to be deposited into the Capital Stabilization Fund, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> <br />Submitted by the Select Board <br /> <br />Explanation: As per Select Board Policy #072, “Capital Improvement Policy”, this article will set aside funds <br />in the amount of fifteen percent (15%) of the “Certified Free Cash” into the Capital Stabilization account for <br />future capital expenditures in an effort to ensure the Town will maintain its assets at a level adequate to protect <br />the Town’s capital investment and to minimize future maintenance and replacement costs. <br /> <br />The Select Board recommends approval of Article 2 by a vote of 5-0 <br />The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 2 by a vote of 6-0 <br /> <br />Motion made by Select Board Member O’Hara <br /> <br />Motion: I move the Town vote to approve Article 2 as printed in the warrant, with the exception of the phrase <br />“or take any other action relating thereto.” <br /> <br />Motion passes unanimously at 7:21 PM <br /> <br />Article 3 <br /> <br />To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of $101,450 from the Ambulance Reserved <br />Receipts account with said funds to be distributed as follows: $100,000 to the Fire Department Overtime Salary <br />account and $1,450 to the Medicare expense account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> <br />Submitted by Fire Chief John Phelan <br /> <br />Explanation: This article provides additional funds to cover a projected shortfall in the Fire Department Salary <br />account. Due to an increase in calls for service, additional staffing is required. The funds will cover anticipated <br />overtime costs associated with increasing minimum manning.
