Nichols <br /> Attendees: Members: Barbara Nichols, Don MacDonald, Paul Bibo/phone <br /> Guests: Ashley Fisher DNR <br /> The minutes of the April 25, 2023 meeting were accepted as written after a motion by Don MacDonald <br /> and second by Paul Bibo. <br /> Agenda topics <br /> [Agenda topic 1] Lake level/River outflow <br /> Discussion: Debi did the lake measurements on May 15t and 16`". There were 55.4 and 55.2 feet above sea <br /> level. There were 14 and 12 inches of water were flowing over the board closest to the lake. On the 1 st <br /> there were 13.5 inches of water in the stream and 11.5 inches on the 16tn. The new metal gauge by DPW <br /> decreased from 13.5 to 12 during this time period. Barbara measured 2.8 inches of rain in her gauge <br /> from mid-April to mid-May. <br /> Levels were reported to Drew McManus in Conservation. valuable <br /> ____,.,._............_..... <br /> _................ ......_ ................. <br /> ..... <br /> Conclusions. The water levels have decreased slightly with lower precipitation. <br /> [Agenda topic 2] Pond Study <br /> Discussion: Ed Eichner from TMDL Solutions and SMAST Coastal Systems is continuing with the <br /> second year of study which runs until June 2024. Water quality measuring devices were deployed in mid- <br /> April with signs reminding boaters to leave them alone. There is also a focus study on storm water run-off <br /> at the boat ramp which will supply the data requiring the State to rebuild the boat ramp. The Town is also <br /> deploying their valuable water quality device in the deep basin in Wakeby lake. <br /> Conclusions: The pond study, set to be completed in June 2024, continues to collect data. <br />
