Motion made by Selectman Sherman to include and recommend the Town Meeting warrant article proposed to appropriate$7,500,000 for the design& engineering of Option 9 of the Municipal Wastewater System Expansion Project. Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Reduction of Community Preservation Act Surcharge: This article is proposed to amend the CPA Act by reducing the annual surcharge imposed on real property from the rate of 2%to 11a of the tax level as determined annually by the Board of Assessors. If supported,this article is contingent upon the successful passage of a debt exclusion ballot question. There was no action.as there was no interest in proceeding with the CPA reduction at this time. Increase of Water Infrastructure Investment Fund("WIIF") Sprphar Lq- - The proposed article would increase the WIIF surcharge from 2%to 3%of real property. If supported,this article is contingent upon the successful passage of a debt exclusion ballot question. There was not action as the Select Board did not support the CPA reduction at this time.
