<br /> Mashpee River updates: Ongoing discussion on possible dam removal at the route <br />130 culvert to be in compliance with Office of Dam Safety. Restoration of fish ladder <br />itself and the channel leading to Mashpee/Wakeby Pond. Grant funding/assistance <br />from NRCS (Cape Cod Water Resources Grant Program), Municipal Vulnerability <br />Program and MA Division of Ecological Restoration <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Susan Dangle (762 Cotuit Road) thanked the Commission for the education and efforts to <br />pass the wetland buffer zone articles. Ms. Dangle also will provide video of the algae <br />blooms. She felt that more can be done such as an all-out fertilizer ban. Ms. Dangle also <br />noted cyanobacteria present that is toxic to dogs in Wakeby Pond. Ms. Dangle noted <br />Andrew Kelley, a high school student, will be doing a senior project for a fertilizer ban. In <br />addition, Mr. Small is seeking to organize a home rule petition. Finally, Ms. Dangle asked <br />th <br />for support to meet an August 11 deadline to ask to fund the second phase of the sewer <br />project. <br /> <br />Additional Topics: <br /> <br />th <br />Mr. Colombo asked that the members come to the June 26 Select Board meeting to show <br />th <br />support to meet the August 11sewer funding deadline. <br /> <br />Returning LEC’s peer review, Mr. Colombo asked to entertain a motion to <br />endorse/recommendation for the Town manager enter a contract for LEC’s peer review. <br /> <br />Mr. Cook made the motion which was seconded by Ms. Zollo <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Sandra Godfrey (Yes) <br />Erin Copeland (Yes) <br />Marjorie Clapprood (Yes) <br />Steven Cook (Yes) <br />Alexandra Zollo (Yes) <br />Paul Colombo (Yes) <br />6 – 0 <br /> <br />There being no other topics, Mr. Cook made a motion to adjourn the meeting which was <br />seconded by Ms. Zollo which was passed unanimously.
