<br /> Mashpee River updates: Ongoing discussion on possible dam removal at the route <br />130 culvert to be in compliance with Office of Dam Safety. Restoration of fish ladder <br />itself and the channel leading to Mashpee/Wakeby Pond. Grant funding/assistance <br />from NRCS (Cape Cod Water Resources Grant Program), Municipal Vulnerability <br />Program and MA Division of Ecological Restoration <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Susan Dangle (762 Cotuit Road) thanked the Commission for the education and efforts to <br />pass the wetland buffer zone articles. Ms. Dangle also will provide video of the algae <br />blooms. She felt that more can be done such as an all-out fertilizer ban. Ms. Dangle also <br />noted cyanobacteria present that is toxic to dogs in Wakeby Pond. Ms. Dangle noted <br />Andrew Kelley, a high school student, will be doing a senior project for a fertilizer ban. In <br />addition, Mr. Small is seeking to organize a home rule petition.
