Taylor; DPW Director Catherine Laurent; School Finance <br /> Director Ashley Lopes <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chair Collins at 3:30 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Popponesset Meeting Room <br /> MINUTES <br /> Approval of Minutes of January 29, 2021 <br /> Motion made by Mr. Richardson to approve the minutes of January 29, 2021 <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Gottlieb <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 7-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Collins, yes Mrs. DeBoer, yes Mr. Gasior,yes Mr. Gottlieb, yes <br /> Mr. Richardson,yes Mr. Sarno,yes Mrs. Thayer,yes <br /> Opposed, none <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> • Discussion and approval of Capital Improvement Program request from the School Department with <br /> regard to Fiscal Year 2022 Capital Improvement Program Projects for School Security Upgrades and <br /> Flag Pole Installations. <br /> Superintendent DeBoer explained that the School Security upgrades cost was due to increased cost of <br /> materials and the number of locks needed to properly secure the buildings and the additional cost is$42,724. <br /> The scope of the Flag Pole Installations changed from 4 to 6 new flagpoles, additional concrete work, and <br /> outside contractors were needed.The additional cost is $50,026.38. <br /> The School Department's memo and supporting documentation was given to the members of the CIP <br /> Committee, (attached). <br /> Motion made by Mr. Richardson to approve the School Department's request to modify and complete the <br /> School Security Upgrades ($42,724 additional cost) and Flag Pole Installations ($50,026.38 additional cost) <br /> included in the approved Fiscal Year 2022 Capital Improvement Plan. The total additional cost of <br /> $92,750.38 is to be funded by the School Department's Fiscal Year 2022 Operating Budget. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Gasior <br /> VOTE: 5-2 Motion passes <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Collins,yes Mrs. DeBoer,yes Mr. Gasior,yes Mr. Gottlieb, no <br /> Mr. Richardson,yes Mr. Sarno, no Mrs.Thayer,yes <br />
