Nfddshpcc, Nlassach& sells 0126,49
Minutes of Meeting of
Design Review Committee
Tuesday, July 7, 2020
Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room
Design Review Committee Members Present: Charlie Maintanis,
Jonathan Furbush, Joe Callahan.
CONTINUED
The applicant for 100 Willowbend Drive requested a continuance until the
next meeting dated Tuesday, July 21, 2020.
Charlie called the meeting to order at 8:37 am (virtual/remote). He
discussed the roles and responsibilities of the Design Review committee
that he reviewed in an email dated Tuesday, June 25, 2020. He mentioned
that certain applications do not require a continuance because the
committee is advisory only. He thought a motion template with comments
would be sufficient to forward to the appropriate Board. He said that certain
requests such as sign applications may be continued because the applicant
might have not provided design, color, or dimensions of their particular sign.
Certain applications that are more detailed with building placement, size,
etc. would only be the committee's opinion and suggestions; are forwarded
to the appropriate Board.
Jonathan said that he doesn't believe it's under the purview of the
committee to discuss height.
Charlie mentioned that Evan, Town Planner responded to his email and
briefly reviewed his comments that the Design Review and Plan Review
committees have some overlap which result in conflicts. His memo dated
Wednesday, July 1, 2020 was read aloud to the committee. Jonathan
agreed with Evan's comments. Joe agreed as well. Charlie agreed and said
that he will discuss the process further with Evan.
I
