Article 6 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $100,000 to the Legal, Engineering and <br /> Consulting Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: If approved, this article will fund legal and consulting services needed to assist the Town with negotiations <br /> associated with the recent Federal Recognition of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Council, Inc. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval by a vote of 5-0. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman George Green <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from Revenue Available for Appropriation $100,000 to the Legal, <br /> Engineering and Consulting Account. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 8:13 PM. <br /> Article 7 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, borrow or transfer from available funds $460,000 to provide for road <br /> improvement projects under the Chapter 90 program, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Department of Public Works <br /> Explanation: This article authorizes use of funds which will be 100% reimbursed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. <br /> The budget approved each fiscal year by the Legislature and Governor establishes the total funding available for Chapter 90 <br /> local transportation aid for that year.
