Article 10 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $3,600 to the Assessors Salary Account, or <br /> to take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Director of Assessing and <br /> Board of Assessors <br /> Explanation: This article is to restore the stipend. This will assist the Town in attracting and retaining qualified board <br /> members, who at the need of the Assessing Department perform field inspections. Board members are required to obtain state <br /> certification. <br /> The Board of Selectmen does not take a position on this article. <br /> The Finance Committee does not recommend approval by a vote of 4-0 with one abstention. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Don Myers <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from Revenue Available for Appropriation $3,600 to the <br /> Assessors Salary Account. <br /> Motion passes 203 to 55 at 8:26 PM. <br /> Article 11 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to accept the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 32B: Section 18, or take any other <br /> action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: Acceptance of this statute would require all eligible retirees to enroll in Medicare Supplemental Plan(s) or <br /> Medicare Advantage Plan(s) provided that benefits under said plan and Medicare Parts A and B together shall be of comparable <br /> value to those under the retiree's existing coverage. <br /> 21 <br />
