9 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> September 14,2023 <br /> APPOINTMENTS &HEARINGS <br /> Public Hearing—Informational Meeting on the Needs Possibilities and Resources of the Town <br /> of Mash pee as they relate to Historic Preservation Recreation Affordable Housing and Open <br /> Space for the funding of projects at the May 2024 Town Meeting: (continued) <br /> In closing it was noted the CPC has a new and improved application. For an application to <br /> proceed,there are additional forms required to be completed. Signage is required to <br /> acknowledge CPC funded projects to inform the public on how their tax dollars are being used. <br /> Applications to be considered for funding at the May 2024 Town Meeting are due on November <br /> 1, 2023. <br /> Motion made by Ms.Waygan to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Hyde. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 7-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Ms. Russell, yes Mr. Hyde, yes Ms. Waygan, yes Ms.Barbee, yes <br /> Mr. Klein,yes Ms.Wyman-Colombo,yes Ms. Godfrey,yes Opposed,none <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Financial Report Review of Project Balances: <br /> The Community Preservation Committee conducted a review of available funds for use at the <br /> May 2024 Special Town Meeting. <br /> At the October 2023 Town Meeting, an article is presented on the warrant(estimated match is <br /> 20%)to fund the annual Budget for Appropriation Reserve; $855,615 and to the 10%Reserves; <br /> $127,946 to be set aside in the 10% Open Space/Recreation Reserve, $127,946 to the 10% <br /> Historic Purposes Reserve and$127,946 in the 10%Affordable Housing Reserve. With the <br /> appropriation of these funds and expenditure for the Ancient Burying Grounds Restoration <br /> project; $73,640 subtracted from the 10%Historic Purposes Reserve the reserves balances are <br /> projected as follows; <br /> Budget for Appropriation 10%Open Space/Recreation 10%Historic 10%Affordable Housing <br /> $855,615 $201,216 $783,389 $250,110 <br />
