11 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> September 14,2023 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Review and Approval of Project Closures Return of Funds to respective CPC Balances; <br /> Acquisition of 9 Quashnet Road,• $161 900—Article 5 May 2019 Town Meeting: <br /> Vote to Return Funds to CPC Fund Balance: (continued) <br /> Motion made by Mr.Hyde to close the CPC project entitled "Land Purchase-9 Quashnet <br /> Road" due to the inability to obtain clear title, and enforce the three-year sunset clause <br /> returning $161,900 in CPA funds to the CPC Undesignated Fund Balance. <br /> Motion seconded by Ms.Wyman-Colombo. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 7-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Ms. Russell, yes Mr. Hyde,yes Ms. Waygan,yes Ms.Barbee, yes <br /> Mr.Klein,yes Ms. Wyman-Colombo,yes Ms. Godfrey,yes Opposed, none <br /> Mashpee Greenway Project,• $67 067 28—Article 11 MU 2016 Town Meeting: <br /> Vote to Return Funds to CPC Fund Balance: <br /> The Mashpee Greenway project was a joint application submitted by the Planning Board and <br /> Conservation Commission to connect trails from Mashpee Commons along the Quashnet River <br /> through a network of trails to the Mashpee Middle/High School. The bulk of the $84,800 project <br /> included the construction of a bridge to cross the river. It was determined the bridge and related <br /> work for the cross-over was extremely costly. There is a potential for a new pathways project <br /> that would require a new and updated application. <br /> Motion made by Mr.Hyde to close the CPC project entitled " Mashpee Greenway— <br /> Quashnet River Path and Footbridge" returning $67,067.28 in CPA funds to the CPC <br /> Undesignated Fund Balance. <br /> Motion seconded by Ms.Wyman-Colombo. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 7-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Ms. Russell, yes Mr. Hyde, yes Ms. Waygan, yes Ms. Barbee,yes <br /> Mr. Klein, yes Ms. Wyman-Colombo,yes Ms. Godfrey, yes Opposed, none <br />
