Sons Construction Co.. Inc. <br /> Catherine Laurent,Director of Public Works was in attendance to recommend the Select Board award a <br /> contract for Road Salt to Eastern Minerals,the lowest qualified bidder at$68.50 per ton. This represents an <br /> approximate 10%decrease from last fiscal year. <br /> It was also recommended that a contract be awarded to Morton Salt for Pre-Mix Treated Salt at$84.13 per ton, <br /> the lowest qualified bidder. The salt is treated with agricultural by-product. <br /> Safe Road Services and G.B. Sons Construction Col, Inc. both submitted the lowest qualified bid of$2.30 per <br /> gallon for Liquid Agricultural By-Product. This represents a 33%increase from FY23. It is recommended <br /> that a contract be awarded to both companies. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Weeden to approve the recommendation of the DPW Director and award <br /> contracts for Salt and Agricultural By-Product to the above referenced companies as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Wyman-Colombo. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous 3-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Selectman Wyman-Colombo,yes <br /> Opposed,none <br />
