Sherman <br />Meeting Called, to Order by Chairman Cotton at 6:30 p.m. <br />Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />Department of Public Works Director Catherine Laurent: <br />Discussion and Approval of Award of the Followm Contractswfor_Saltµand A rI ulturalwB r-Product: <br />Road Salt: wEastern, Minerals Inc.: <br />Preen -Mix Treated Salt: wMorton S,alt,Inc., <br />Litt id A j cultural By. -Product: Safe Road, Services and G,B. Sons Construction Co.. Inc. <br />Catherine Laurent, Director of Public Works was in attendance to recommend the Select Board award a <br />contract for Road Salt to Eastern Minerals, the lowest qualified bidder at $68.50 per ton. This represents an <br />approximate 10% decrease from last fiscal year. <br />It was also recommended that a contract be awarded to Morton Salt for Pre -Mix Treated Salt at $84.13 per ton, <br />the lowest qualified bidder. The salt is treated with agricultural by-product. <br />Safe Road Services and G.B. Sons Construction Col, Inc. both submitted the lowest qualified bid of $2.30 per <br />gallon for Liquid Agricultural By -Product. This represents a 33% increase from FY23. It is recommended <br />that a contract be awarded to both companies. <br />Motion made by Selectman Weeden to approve the recommendation of the DPW Director and award <br />contracts for Salt and Agricultural By -Product to the above referenced companies as presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Wyman -Colombo. <br />VOTE: Unanimous 3-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes <br />Opposed, none <br />
