l <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 7, 200 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Police CI f—Re guest to Expgnd Funds: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Green to place the above topic on the <br /> Selectmen's agenda. <br /> Motion seconded-by Selectman Marster . <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> Rodney Collins, Chief of Police was present to request the Selectmen <br /> approve expending funds from the Insurance Recovery Account to support <br /> the purchase of an SUV vehicle for the Police Department. It was noted <br /> that this would be a replacement vehicle for the department that would be <br /> used by the department as a command/patrol type of vehicle. It was noted <br /> that the 2006 capital improvement ent program.vehicle lease purchase request <br /> would be reduced by one vehicle if the expenditure is approved by the <br /> Board. The state bid price is estimated to cost$26,300. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the request of the <br /> Police Chief to expend funds from the Insurance Recovery Account t <br /> purchase an SUV vehicle for the Pollee Department. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Mashee Chamber of Commerce: <br /> In are effort to assist with the traffic challenge, representatives from the <br /> Mashpee Chamber of Comnnerce presented a proposal to the Selectmen t <br /> install si na a at major intersections in the Town of Mashpee. Additional <br /> signage and alternate route routing recommendations would give increased <br /> options for seasonal traffic flow and alleviate congestion. <br /> The Chamber is willing to facilitate towards the creation of an advocacy _ <br /> town task force comprised of membership of the Selectmen, DPW and <br /> local State'Representatives to identify projects and efforts that need to be. <br /> prioritized th the Mate Department of Transportation. <br />
