• Current cases=8 in town.
• The most important item is that the BOH is still doing the contact tracing for town
employees. If an employee is out sick, please continue to contact our department and
we will follow up with COVID guidance, if warranted. The contact tracing requirements
have not changed. We will send out the guidance again if you request it.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Review and Approval of Meeting Minutes
No minutes to approve
2. Review and Approval of Expense Warrants
The warrants were reviewed and approved with Members signing the warrants presented by Mr.
Harrington.
3. Review of Request of Title 5 variance—22 Fells Pond Road
Mr. Harrington commented a variance has been requested for the above property to
allow a new addition to encroach upon the existing septic tank. As the owner is creating
their own hardship, the request is considered a Title 5 variance where the abutters must
be notified. The relocation of the septic tank would be a great disturbance to the system
as the septic tank is also a combined pump chamber with power to the pump, level
switches and alarm. Mr. Harrington recommended to approve the variance with the
condition that the new foundation shall be sealed.
There being no further comments or discussion, Kripani Patel motioned to approve the
Title 5 variance with the condition that the new foundation wall to the addition be
sealed to assure protection from effluent and odors. Motioned seconded by Ernest
Vigilio. Roll call vote: Ernest Vigilio (yes) Kripani Patel (yes) VOTE: Unanimous (2-0)
4. Request for Appeal of Fines—34 Santuit Road
Ms. Bokanovich signed for receipt of the original order letter on September 17, 2021.
The second and final notice was sent on November 24, 2021, indicating that failure to
comply within seven days would subject the property owner to fines and/or court
action. Ms. Bokanovich signed for receipt of the fine letter on February 28, 2022, at
which time she reached out to the Board of Health explain that she had failed to comply
due to financial hardship, and requested to appeal the fines. Where a hardship exists in
this situation, I recommend the Board approve the appeal of fines with the condition
that the property owner full comply with both the inspection and pumping orders
within 30 days. If compliance is not reached by April 30, 2022,then the fines should be
reinstated.
There being no further comments or discussion Kripani Patel motioned to approve the
appeal of fines for 34 Santuit Lane on the condition that the property owner fully
comply with the order to inspect and pump the onsite system within 30 days. Should
the property owner fail to comply by April 30, 2022, fines shall be reinstated. Motioned
seconded by Ernest Vigilio Roll call vote: Ernest Vigilio (yes); Kripani Patel (yes).
VOTE: Unanimous (2-0)
5. Request for Appeal of Fines-38 Timberlane Drive
