Mr. Harrington commented the Board of Health reviewed the preliminary plan and must
review the definitive plan as well. Eight of the 9 properties are out of Zone II, are serviced
by town water, have good access and proper drainage retention. Mr. Harrington
recommended the Board to approve the definitive subdivision plan, as presented.
Mr. Virgilio recused himself.
As we don't have a quorum on this and the board cannot offer a position on this; I did
speak with the Planning Department and they would accept my recommendation which
would be to approve the definitive plan as presented. As long as the Planning Board is
satisfied we can move forward with that. I did not have any other comments on the
subdivision plan.
The Board cannot make a decision on this.
8. Review and Execution of Cross-Jurisdictional Sharing Commitment Letter
This is a grant being requested by Barnstable County and we still have more questions on
this. There are quite a few variables if the requirements are binding and if the town is
going to have to meet training and personnel thresholds. We would like to get those
questions answered before we have the board vote on that. It is also going to take time
to approval, we will need to get a few things ironed out.
No action needs to be taken.
9. Nomination of Animal Inspector
The animal inspectors need to be nominated for the period of May 1, 2022 to April 30,
2023. The nominees are Donald Chicoine and Christine Willander. The 2023 budget has
both animal inspector costs in it so the animal inspectors will be paid next fiscal year(after
July 31, 2023). Please vote to nominate the above nominees for the specified timeframe.
There being no further comments or discussion Kripani Patel motioned to approve the
nomination of Animal Inspectors, Don Chicone and Christine Willander for the period of
May 1, 2022 to April 30, 2023 for the Mass Dept of Agricultural Resources. Ernest Virgilio
seconded. Roll Call Vote: Ernest Virgilio (yes), Kripani Patel (yes). VOTE: Unanimous (2-0)
10. Review of August 2021 Landfill Gas Monitoring Report
The report stated that no methane, lower explosive limit (LEL) or hydrogen sulfide gas
was encountered. Therefore, no landfill gas hazards were found. There was one gas well
that was replaced and will get it measured at the next report in the summer.
Kripani Patel motioned to adjourn the meeting at 6:32pm. Ernest Virgilio seconded. Roll
Call Vote: Ernest Virgilio (yes), Kripani Patel (yes). VOTE: Unanimous (2-0)
Respectfully submitt
S r a Pacheco
Administrative Secretary
Board of Health
