Town of Mashpee <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> NOVEMBER 8,2023 <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals held Public Hearings on Wednesday,November 8, 2023, <br /> at 6:00 p.m. in the Waquoit Room at the Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great Neck Road North. Acting <br /> Board Members, Vice Chair, Sharon Sangeleer, Board Members, Jonathan Furbush, William <br /> Blaisdell, Scott Goldstein, and Charles Reidy. Also present was David Morris, Building <br /> Commissioner. <br /> Acting Chair,Ms. Sangeleer opened the meeting at 6:00 pm and announced that the hearings were <br /> being televised live on local cable Channel 8 Mashpee TV, and will take public comments after <br /> each hearing. <br /> NEW HEARINGS <br /> 48 Greenwood Road: Petitioners, Joyce A. and Daniel Marsters request a Variance under §174- <br /> 31 of the Zoning Bylaws to allow for construction of retaining walls on property located in the R- <br /> 3 Zoning and Popponesset Overlay Districts, Map 117, Parcel 323, Mashpee, MA (Owner of <br /> record: Joyce A. Marsters, as Trustee of the Greenwood Trust). <br /> Mr. Reidy read a letter dated November 8,2023 from Attorney Christopher Kirrane that he is now <br /> representing the applicants and requesting a continuance until December 13, 2023. Mr. Blaisdell <br /> made a motion to accept the continuance until December 13, 2023. Mr. Furbush second. All were <br /> in favor. <br /> CONTINUED HEARINGS <br /> 108 Ca Mains Row: Owners,Nicholas M.and Kathy DiGiusto,Trustees request a Written Finding <br /> under §174-17 and §174-33 of the Zoning Bylaws to allow for replacement of an access timber <br /> stairway, and lower deck to dock on property located in an R-3 Zoning District,Map 96 Parcel 16, <br /> Mashpee,MA. (Continued from October 11, 2023 hearings). <br /> Attorney Christopher Kirrane represented the homeowners for their request to replace the wooden <br /> stairway down to the dock. Attorney Kirrane stated for the record that this project was continued <br /> by the Conservation Commission. However, he consulted with the Building Department and <br /> thought that the project could move forward with the Board. There's no new additional structures <br /> being built; it's simply a replacement of the old stairway that will be building code compliant and <br /> will be beneficial to the resource area. <br /> Mr. Furbush stated that it's pre-existing. <br /> 1 <br />
