*APPROVED 1-30-2024* CIP MINUTES 9-11-2023 Members Present: Town Manager Rodney Collins, Finance Director Dawn Thayer, School Representative Patricia DeBoer, Member-at Large John Livingston Absent: Select Board Member John Cotton, Finance Committee Member A. Gregory McKelvey, Member- at Large Edmund Sarno Other Attendees: Meeting Called to Order by Chair Collins at 4 pm. Mashpee Town Hall, Popponesset Meeting Room MINUTES APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS Discussion and Possible A royal of Change of Sco e: Fiscal Year 2024 De artment of Public Works Buildin',Roof Replacement Project. Director Catherine Laurent Director Laurent distributed a hand out of what was presented last spring when the Committee was determining the amount for the bond.There was a budget amount of 275,000. Per a recent inspection the DPW roof would be a good candidate for a new membrane treatment which would mean a 20 year warranty. It would be less than replacing the roof. Bids were open last week for doing some kind of coding on the wall of the DPW building. Since the cost for the roof is less Director Catherine Laurent requested to amend the scope and use some of the money towards addressing the masonry walls. Town Manager Collins referred to the process of including the walls in the scope of work,the walls would need to be a separate request through CIP and the presented as an article at Town Meeting. Director Laurent said that they would move forward with the scope for the roof and will resubmit the request for the walls before the Committee which will appear on the May Town Meeting Warrant not the Special. No action was taken on the change to the scope of work.
