Mr. Lev Malakhov (representative of NEMBA) provided the details and <br /> latest information from a previously scheduled site visit. Mrs. Zollo asked about available <br /> parking. Agents clarified available parking nearby on River Rd, Great Neck Rd South and off <br /> Quinaquisset Ave and Mashpee Neck Rd. Agent mentioned that this trail would be named <br /> after Bill McKay, who has been a long standing and dedicated volunteer land steward for this <br /> area of the Mashpee River Woodlands. Parcel abutter, John Clark, passed out a statement <br /> he prepared to the commissioners which he then read into the record. Mr. Clark described <br /> the timeline of communication regarding this trail proposal between himself and conservation <br /> staff. Mrs. Zollo commented about the communication experience and asked how much use <br /> would the trail experience. Mr. Malakhov stated on average 5-6 riders per day. Mrs Zollo <br /> commented about trails and fragmentation of habitat concerns as well as availability from a <br /> variety of users. Agent clarified nearby parking options. Mr. Colombo asked if this can be <br /> placed on the Feb. 15tn agenda for voting and to schedule another site visit for Sunday, <br /> Feb.4tn <br /> Mr. Colombo asked for an update on the proposed state regulation/standards for Land <br /> Subject to Coastal Storm Flowage. Assistant Agent provided a synopsis of the updates and <br /> that March 1 rst is the deadline for submission of comments. <br /> Agent asked if members of bylaw review subcommittee wanted to wait for the state to finalize <br /> their process for standards in the flood zone before we finalize Regulation 25 under the Ch. <br /> 172 Bylaw. Consensus was that we proceed with our own revisions under our bylaw. <br /> Agent provided brief updates on projects for Johns Pond and Santuit Pond fishways, <br /> including a temporary ladder structure to be implemented at Santuit this coming spring. <br /> Communication and correspondence: Agent listed date/times for two upcoming DEP <br /> superseding onsites to 190 & 339 Monomoscoy Rd on Wednesday, January 31 rst starting <br /> at 11 a.m. at 190 Monomoscoy Rd.
