The Board of Health recommends, but does not require virtual board
or committee meetings in light of surging caseloads. The Board of Selectmen did not mandate
virtual board of committee meetings, and is leaving that decision to individual committees to
decide based on size of their group and comfort level of members.
In light of the on-going external conditions and the current surge in COVID-19 cases, the
consensus of the discussion among board members was to continue the Library's current level of
services, which included limited use of meeting rooms for library programs and essential
services that could be conducted safely (limited in size, registered attendance, social distancing,
masks), as well as programs or services sponsored by the Town of Mashpee. Reservations from
outside groups will not be accepted at this time, but conditions will be monitored to reopen when
possible.
