Andrews, Chairman Joseph Gibbons, MAA/Director <br /> John Bartos, Vice Chairman Ralph Herbst <br /> Diane Phillips <br /> Ken Debrowski <br /> • Call to order: Chairman Andrews called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. <br /> • Public comments — <br /> • A. Ralph Herbst, 82 Wheeler Road <br /> Diane Phillips, 50 Wheeler Road <br /> Both discussed contamination issues in Ashumet Pond, and the effect on valuation. They <br /> wanted the Board to consider the PFAS contamination when conducting revaluations. They <br /> also informed the Board that similar issues are also effecting nearby John's Pond. <br /> B. Ken Debrowski, 3 Great Field Landing <br /> Mr. Debrowski discussed in great detail his analysis of the recent increases in property <br /> valuations in Mashpee. He discussed his neighborhood (Flat Pond) and in his opinion that <br /> there were significant inequities in the value increases within his area and town wide. <br /> Chairman Andrews defended the result of the recent revaluations while noting that the local <br /> market increases were unprecedented and primarily due to COVID 19. <br /> • Approval of Minutes: <br /> Paul Andrews motioned to table the approval of minutes of Wednesday <br /> November 29, 2023 until the February 7, 2024 meeting. <br /> John Bartos seconded the motion. <br /> VOTE: Yes — 2 <br /> Roll Call Vote: John Bartos, yes; Paul Andrews, yes <br /> Paul Andrews motioned to table the approval of Executive Session Minutes of Wednesday <br /> November 29, 2023 (not released) to the February 7, 2024 meeting <br /> John Bartos seconded the motion. <br /> VOTE: Yes — 2 <br /> Roll Call Vote: John Bartos, yes; Paul Andrews, yes <br /> Email:Assessing@mashpeema.gov I Telephone: 508.539.1404 1 Fax: 508.539.1145 <br />
