Paul Colombo began with discussion on the New York Times article. Marjorie Clapprood <br /> suggested an open forum meeting to discuss the issue of water quality in the town. Mr. Colombo <br /> will meet with Agent McManus and Assistant Agent Kent to plan a meeting for the public. <br /> Updates: ublie comment solicited for each u Ldate' <br /> • Red Brook Road Culvert: The Agent updated the commission on the progress <br /> of installing a new culvert. <br /> • UlmerQuashnet Restoration: Agent provided an update on the restoration of <br /> the Upper Quashnet River <br /> • Bylqw Revi ew...Subcommittee U�datgW5: <br /> - Regulation 5 Fee Schedule: Proposed permit fee increases. Discussion <br /> and finalize proposed revisions in preparation for public comment. Agent <br /> McManus provided an update on commission feedback and <br /> recommended moving forward with proposed changes. Commissioner <br /> Copeland inquired about fee changes and further discussion ensued. <br /> - Regulation 30:Prevention of Pollution: Discussion and finalize <br /> proposed revisions in preparation for public comment. <br /> - Discussion on expansion of the wetland buffer zone under Ch. 172 <br /> from 100 feet to 150 feet. Agent to present draft town meeting article <br /> language revisions for Commission review and comments. Agent <br /> recommends Concom take a vote to decide if this draft article should be <br /> added to the May 2023 Town Meeting warrant or postponed to the <br /> October 2023 Town Meeting warrant. Mr. Colombo opened discussion <br /> on the draft article. Further discussion ensued. Publicwcomment: Mary <br /> Waygan (Chair of the Mashpee Planning Board) spoke in support of the <br /> draft article & spoke about what the Planning Board was doing in support <br /> of the draft. Raul Lizardi (Cape & Islands Engineering) inquired about <br /> permit fees and filing procedures as it relates to the proposed buffer zone <br /> increase. Additional discussion ensued. <br /> - Johns Pond and Santuit Pond invasive milfoil: Agent provided updates <br /> on process and costs associated with eradicating invasive milfoil on Johns <br /> Pond and Santuit Pond. <br /> - Chopchaque Bog Restoration: Agent updated the commission on the <br /> progress of restoration of chopchaque bogs to wetlands. <br /> - Local Comprehensive Plan: Agent presented the changes to the LCP <br /> and rationale thereof, including different solutions and primary issues. <br /> - Land Acquisition Subcommittee:Agent updated the commission on how <br /> the committee would work and what their purview would be. <br /> - Mashpee River Woodlands Trail Modifications:New England Mountain <br /> Biking Club proposed trail modification at Mashpee River Woodlands <br /> through the Eversource Easement. Agent provided updates on the <br /> progress of this project. <br />
