Nichols <br /> Attendees: Members: Barbara Nichols, Paul Bibo, Don MacDonald, Allison Bernhardt <br /> Guests: <br /> The minutes of the October 24, 2023 meeting were accepted as written after a motion by Don MacDonald <br /> and second by Paul Bibo. <br /> Agenda topics <br /> [Agenda topic 1] Lake level/River outflow <br /> Discussion: Debi did the lake measurements on October 31 st and Novemberl 71h. They were 55.2 ft. and <br /> 55.1 feet above sea level. There were 12 inches of water were flowing over the board closest to the lake <br /> on the 3 1"which decreased to 9 on the 171h. On Oct, 3Is'. there were 12.5 inches in the stream and on <br /> November 17th. there were 8 inches of water in the stream a foot out from the stairs. Barbara measured 4 <br /> in of rain in her gauge from mid -October to mid-November, and 3 inches the first two weeks in <br /> December. Rain was not measured in January. The DPW gauge decreased from10 to 8.5 in that time- <br /> December measurements were done on the I" and 15th. Both were 55.1 ft. above sea level with 8.5 <br /> increasing to 11 inches of water flowing over the board and 7.5 inches increasing to 12 inches in the <br /> stream. The DPW gauge increased from 9 to 9.5 in Dec. <br /> Measurements were also done on January 1st and 151h and the level increased from 55.2 to 55.45 feet with <br /> several rain storms. Water going over the board increased from 12 to 15 inches and in the stream from 11 <br /> to 14.5. DPW's gauge increased from 10.5 to 14.25. <br /> Levels were reported to Drew McManus in Conservation. Drew was also notified that there was a large <br /> branch in the water near the front of the cage and Drew emailed back that they would talk care of it. <br /> Conclusions: The water level increased with above average precipitation. <br /> [Agenda topic 2] Fall Newsletter <br /> Discussion: The fall newsletter was approved by the Town Manager and printed on November 1st, and <br /> several copies were left in the town hall racks. Terrie Cook now handles getting the newsletter put on the <br /> Town web site. Barbara found a couple of corrections and called Terrie and she said she would take care <br /> of them. <br /> Conclusion: The Fall Newsletter is completed an available <br /> mp d. .. .le under...our..committee on the Town_.. ........_�. ..__.... ...._ <br /> web site. i <br /> And in print <br />
