He went on to state
that the fee to enter the float was waived by the Chamber and the money that the Department collected for
the fee was used to purchase gift cards and was subsequently donated to a Veteran that resides in Town.
He stated that all cages have been moved to deeper water to over winter.
The have been pulling up bottom trays from the Mashpee River, they are culling them and moving the
oysters to the fishery.
The green house at Little River has been taken down and removed as it was becoming expensive and
burdensome to continue to repair it. All of the contents have been moved to other locations.
The shellfish shack has gotten a new roof. Several of the windows are cracked and are going to be
repaired.
Chris went on to report that the recent storm related high tides have had the Department and the DPW
busy with cleaning up at the Mashpee Neck Landing boat ramp and at their Little River facility.
They are still waiting to hear from the DMF on the replacement of the area biologist.
Chair Thomas commended the Department for their generous donation of the float fee saying that those
types of gestures often don’t get enough attention.

ADDITIONAL TOPICS: None at this Time.

ADJOURNMENT

A motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Holmes.
Motion seconded by Co-Chair Cook.
Motion was passed by unanimous consent.

Meeting adjourned at 7:05pm.

Respectfully Submitted,

Susan Donovan
Board Secretary
3
