MA ee, MAw02649:.AbdulyHafeez Mian Manager, The Select Board acting as the Local Licensing Authority for the Town of Mashpee opened the Public Hearing on the application of Abdul Hafeez Mian d/b/a Mashpee Country Store, 387 Main Street, Mashpee. Said premise is described as the first floor of a one-story wood frame building containing approximately 2,168 square feet, with two entrances and exists on the west side of the building; sales area approximately 2,168 square feet having a delicatessen, counters, and deli units; coffee bar and grocery shelves, two bathrooms in rear with unfinished basement having approximately 2,168 square feet. Paul Tarif representing counsel addressed the Select Board on behalf of Abdul Hafeez Mian, Manager. Attorney Tarif indicated the subject establishment maintains an Annual Wine & Malt Package Store License without incident. Several patrons have requested the establishment offer seasonal all alcohol beverages. As per MGL Chapter 138, it is permissible for a licensee to hold both an Annual Wine and Malt License and a Seasonal All Alcohol License provided they operate from the same location. Mr. Mian was noted to have the qualifications, with cameras and a check system in place. The Seasonal All Alcohol License would be maintained only during the established time frame for seasonal alcohol licenses and removed from site thereafter. Due to the seasonal population estimate, there are three available Seasonal All Alcohol Package Store Licenses available currently.
