Process for review and feedback
The committee was briefed by UHI and given a rough timeline of the draft release.
Release of draft sections
The committee will hold off on reviewing any of the draft sections until all of the
sections have been drafted. There may be issues if we are reviewing the sections in
pieces as some sections correlate directly to others. This process will allow for more
comments to be consistent across the board and will overall be more efficient timewise.
MOTION: Mr. Lehrer made a motion to hold the review process once all sections have
been drafted by our consultants at UHL Mr. Tomaino seconded the motion. All
committee members present voted unanimously in favor of the motion.
Survey
Timeline
The community wide survey will be released to the public once the committee has
reviewed and made recommendations to the draft plan and all of its sections. These
recommendations need to be reviewed by the committee prior to their release to the
public. The committee did not want to release recommendations to the public, if those
recommendation are deemed to not be feasible.
Review of questions to include
The questions that will be released to the public will be formulated in the review
process of the recommendations made by UHI to the Town and committee.
Prioritization of these actions is vital in the planning process to create meaningful
questions to ask the public. Mrs. Uiterwyk asked Mr. Lehrer; How do we make sure that
we are capturing a diverse group during the survey process? She wanted to know what
advice Mr. Lehrer had from his completion of the Local Comprehensive Plan. Mr.
Lehrer said there will need to be a public released to the public once the survey has
been drafted, and once the committee feels comfortable with the questions that we plan
on asking. The feedback from all surveys in Town has been generally low in
participation over the years.
Additional Topics:
There being nothing else, the Committee adopted a Motion to Adjourn.
Respectfully submitted,
Ashley Fisher
