<br /> <br />Motion: I move that the Town will vote to re-purpose a portion of the appropriation and borrowing <br />authorization for capital improvements approved under article 11 at the May 1, 2023 Annual Town <br />Meeting, and excluded from the limitation of Proposition 2 ½ (GL. C 59 section 21C) at the May 6, <br />2023 Annual Town Election, to the following purposes as recommended by the Capital Improvement <br />Program (CIP) Committee, including all costs incidental or related thereto, and to authorize the <br />Treasurer with the approval of the Select Board to issue bonds and notes for such purposes as <br />follows: <br />DPW Masonry Wall Restoration $ 80,000 <br />Police Station Design/Engineering $2,700,000 <br /> <br />Total: $2,780,000 <br /> <br />Motion passes 252 to 90 at 8:22PM <br /> <br /> <br />Article 6 <br />To see if the Town will vote to re-authorize and extend for an additional three years the appropriation and <br />transfer of the sum of $350,000 from the Capital Stabilization fund for the purpose of resurfacing the <br />MMHS Parking Lot, as recommended by the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Committee and as <br />previously approved at the May 3, 2021, Annual Town Meeting, by vote under Article 3 of the Warrant, <br />or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Select Board <br />Explanation: This article would re-authorize and extend by three years the authority to use $350,000 from <br />the Capital Stabilization Fund for the resurfacing of the MMHS parking lot. The project has been delayed <br />due to the solar canopy project that will be done before the parking lot is to be resurfaced. This article <br />requires a 2/3 vote. <br /> <br />The Select Board recommends approval of Article 6 by a vote of 4-0 <br />The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 6 by a vote of 6-0 <br /> <br />Motion made by Select Board Member O’Hara <br /> <br />Motion: I move that the Town vote to re-authorize and extend for an additional three years the <br />appropriation and transfer of the sum of $350,000 from the Capital Stabilization fund for the <br />purpose of resurfacing the MMHS Parking Lot, as recommended by the Capital Improvement <br />Program (CIP) Committee and as previously approved at the May 3, 2021, Annual Town Meeting, <br />by vote under Article 3 of the Warrant. <br /> <br />Motion passes unanimously at 8:24PM <br /> <br /> <br />Article 7 <br /> <br />To see if the Town will vote to re-purpose the sum of $130,000 from the Department of Natural Resources <br />FY 2023 Capital Account to the Department of Natural Resources FY 2025 Capital Account as <br />recommended by the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Committee and approved at the May 2, 2022 <br />Special Town Meeting, by vote under Article 5 of the Warrant, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> <br />Submitted by the Select Board <br /> <br /> <br />
