PONTIAC ROAD, SAMOSET ROAD, WAMESIT ROAD and WHIPPOORWILL CIRCLE Roadways Account, and to raise said appropriation, the Treasurer, with the approval of the Select Board, be authorized to borrow at one time, or from time to time, under and pursuant to Chapter 44 Section 7 or 8, or any other enabling authority for such purchase or taking and layout, including costs of constructing such ways, and legal financing, and other costs incidental and related thereto, and further authorize the Select Board to assess betterments to the owners of the land abutting the ways. Any premium received by the Town upon the sale of any bonds or notes approved by this vote, less any such premium applied to the payment of the costs of issuance of such bonds or notes, may be applied to the payment of costs approved by this vote in accordance with Chapter 44, Section 20 of the General Laws, thereby reducing the amount authorized to be borrowed to pay such costs by a like amount, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by Petition (Lead Petitioner — Darien Homer) Explanation: This article authorizes the Town to complete the private to public road conversion process for CHICKADEE ROAD, DEBBIE LANE, MANITOBA ROAD, METACOMET ROAD, NEHOIDEN ROAD, NESHOBE ROAD, PONTIAC ROAD, SAMOSET ROAD, WAMESIT ROAD and WHIPPOORWILL CIRCLE. This article requires a 2/3 vote. The Select Board does not recommend approval of Article 33 by a vote of 4-0 The Finance Committee does not recommend approval of Article 33 by a vote of 7-0 The Planning Board recommends indefinite postponement of Article 33 by a vote of 5-0 Motion to be made by lead petitioner Darien Homer I move that the Town vote to indefinitely postpone Article 33.
